Dr. L'HommeDieu walks the home with you, in person, and looks at it through the needs of the person who will live there, today and as needs change. We look at:
- Entry and steps
- The bathroom
- Where the bedroom is
- Kitchen reach
- Doorways and hallways
- Flooring
- Lighting
- Storm and power exposure
- Distance to help and services
What you get
- A fit rating for the person, now and in ten years
- A photo report of the barriers we found
- A list of the changes that would be needed, with priorities
Common questions
Can you assess a home I have not bought yet?
Yes. We can assess a home you are thinking of buying or renting, as long as you can arrange access with the owner or agent. Many families book it before making an offer.
Can you do it by video?
No. The Right Home Assessment is only offered in person, inside our in-person service area, because the decision depends on details we need to measure and see.
Will you tell me what the changes cost?
We specify exactly what changes are needed. Contractors quote them, and you choose who does the work. We take no payments from contractors.
