Dr. L'HommeDieu has practiced physical therapy for more than 35 years. For many of them he served as a VA Home Safety Coordinator, the home safety expert on a home-based primary care team caring for medically complex veterans. He saw the same pattern again and again: good discharge plans failing in homes no one had assessed.
He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Touro College. He teaches in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs, is a doctoral candidate in health education and leadership, and is a member of RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America.

The person first
We assess how someone actually moves, thinks, and gets through the day, then judge the home against that. A hazard list without the person is only half the answer.

We prescribe; licensed contractors build; you hire them directly. We accept no referral fees, so our recommendations answer only to you.
Measured results
We follow up at 7 days and track what gets done, falls, and ER visits, so we can prove what works and improve what does not.
Our framework
Every assessment follows the Systems of Systems approach Dr. L'HommeDieu developed and teaches. It brings together three established lenses: the immediate physical and social environment of the home, the social determinants of health, and the World Health Organization's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. In plain terms: the room, the life around it, and the person in it.
