Walkers, shower chairs, lift chairs, medical alert pendants, and smart home devices are often bought from an ad and end up unused in a closet. We match the technology to the person, check that it fits the home, and put the recommendations in writing so you can buy anywhere.
What we review
- Equipment already in the home: walkers, canes, wheelchairs, shower chairs, commodes, transfer aids, and lift chairs. Is it fitted correctly, used safely, and still right for how the person moves today?
- Fall detection and emergency response: wearable and passive options, matched to the person's routines and willingness to use them
- Smart home safety: lighting, motion and door sensors, voice control, and video check-ins for family
- Power dependence: which devices need backup power during storms and outages
- Home fit: whether doorways, turning space, flooring, and bathrooms can support the equipment

Why an ATP?
An Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) is certified by RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, after meeting education and experience requirements and passing a national exam. The credential shows skill in assessing a person's needs and environment, matching them with the right technology, training users, and following up. Medicare requires an ATP to be involved in certain complex power wheelchair decisions.
What we do not do
We advise; we do not sell. We do not supply equipment or bill insurance for it, and we accept no fees or commissions from equipment companies or suppliers. When equipment requires a prescription, such as a power wheelchair, we provide the assessment and recommendations for your physician and supplier.
